DESPAIR in France on DVD & Blu-ray
CARLOTTA Films to bring out both editions on September 19
Following the premiere of the restored version at the Cannes Film Festival in 2011 and subsequent screenings in selected French cinemas, the new edition of RWF’s DESPAIR is now being released on DVD and Blu-ray. The restoration and the production of the new master in HD was undertaken by Bavaria Media in 2010/2011.
The DVD and Blu-ray versions include Robert Fischer’s 2011 documentary THE CINEMA AND ITS DOUBLE - RAINER WERNER FASSBINDER'S "DESPAIR" REVISITED (LE CINÉMA ET SON DOUBLE: RETOUR SUR DESPAIR DE RAINER WERNER FASSBINDER).
