Walter Sedlmayr (1926 - 1990) plays the caretaker.
He was born in Munich, where he appeared in several different theaters, among them, for more than 25 years, at the Kammerspiele. On the one hand, this Bavarian original was considered an actor who specialized in the local idiom (“Volksschauspieler”) and on the other hand Fassbinder cast him early on in his films, among them in RIO DAS MORTES, PIONEERS IN INGOLSTADT, THE NIKLASHAUSEN JOURNEY, and THE MERCHANT OF FOUR SEASONS.
