Wolfgang Schenck (1934) is Franz Hahn.

He began his acting career in 1957 at the Niederdeutsche Bühne Bremen. In the mid-1960s he was hired by the famous Kurt Hübner, then director of Bremen’s Theater am Goetheplatz, where he worked with Peter Zadek, Johannes Schaaf, and Fassbinder. He starred in the premiere of the latter’s Bremen Freedom, as well as in the subsequent TV-adaptation, playing the role of Gottfried. In 1972, he followed Peter Zadek to Bochum, where he met Fassbinder again. The five-part TV-series EIGHT HOURS DON’T MAKE A DAY followed their theater work on Liliom. He will always be remembered as Effi’s husband, Baron von Instetten, in FONTANE EFFI BRIEST; later he made a guest appearance in BERLIN ALEXANDERPLATZ. He has remained with the theater until today, as actor and meanwhile also director.
