Rosemarie Schönartz
Born in the Ruhr area, Rosemarie Schönartz, who graduated as a make-up artist from the theater at Essen and the Folkwang Schule. She first started to work for the Swedish national theater in Malmö and then went on to Munich’s Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz before joining the WDR in 1969. Her work for Fassbinder included make-up for WORLD ON A WIRE, MARTHA, EIGHT HOURS DON’T MAKE A DAY and LIKE A BIRD ON A WIRE. Other productions in her 25-year tenure with the WDR included the sitcom EIN HERZ UND EINE SEELE as well as the series LINDENSTRASSE.
