Magdalena Montezuma (1943 -1984) has a guest appearance at Siskin’s party

Born as Erika Kluge in Würzburg, she met Werner Schroeter in 1968 and began to participate in his first 8mm films as actress and assistant director. Apart from her work with Schroeter, in 1972, she joined the company of Bochum’s Schauspielhaus under the direction of Peter Zadek; she also starred in other films such as Ulrike Ottinger’s FREAK ORLANDO. Not only did she design some of the stage sets and costumes for Schroeter’s theater work, she also applied her talents as an artistic painter. She died less than three weeks after the shooting for THE KING OF ROSES which is dedicated to her.
