Kurt Raab (1941 - 1988) is Mark Holm.

He began to work as a prop master for TV, and belonged to the early group of Munich’s Action-Theater, later antiteater. Fassbinder wrote numerous theater and film roles expressly for him. Raab was involved in more than 35 of RWF’s theater and film productions where his responsibilities included prop master, set designer, artistic-collaborator, a contributing screen writer and co-director at the TAT theater (1974/1975) in Frankfurt at the river Main. After the intense collaboration with Fassbinder ended in 1976, Raab wrote further movie scripts and co-scripted (with Peter Kern) the movie WO GEHT´S DENN HIER ZUM FILM (PLEASE TELL US WERE TO GO TO THE MOVIES) directed by Peer Raben. He also appeared as an actor in other films of German directors, like Herbert Achternbusch, WOHIN? (WHERE TO GO?) and the TV-serial KIR ROYAL, by Helmut Dietl. After Fassbinders death he wrote together with Karsten Peters a book about Fassbinder, which was more a kind of a self portrait. He died through Aids being the first german artist who came out about it openly.
