Ivan Desny (1922 - 2002) is Günter Lause.
Born in Beijing of Russian-Swedish descent, the cosmopolitan actor began his career in 1947 in France. In 1953, he starred in Antonioni’s LA SIGNORA SENZA CAMELIE and in 1955 in Max Ophüls’s LOLA MONTEZ. The list of his film and TV work in Europe includes 178 titles. Other collaborations with Fassbinder include THE MARRIAGE OF MARIA BRAUN, BERLIN ALEXANDERPLATZ and LOLA.
