Frank Graf

Born in the West German Ruhr region, he studied journalism, German language and literature as well as philosophy before he began to work in numerous media-related fields. His professional affiliations include six years as business manager for a Babelsberg-based UFA affiliate in film and TV, where his responsibilities also included commercial management and merchandizing of various TV series. After a brief encounter with the New Economy, where he led the marketing side of a leisure-time web portal, in 2001 he took over the business management of Road Movies film production and Road Sales media distribution in tandem with Wim Wenders. There, he was also in charge of more than ten international co-productions, among them TEN MINUTES OLDER (directors: Jarmusch, Godard, Kaurismaki, Bertolucci, et al.), SWEET 16 (director: Ken Loach), BEND IT LIKE BECKHAM (director: Gurinder Chadha). Frank Graf was also the Associate Producer of DON'T COME KNOCKING (director: Wim Wenders), DEUX (director: Werner Schroeter), as well as JUNE MOON (director: Hanno Hackforth). Since 2004, he has been a consultant for different film and media companies and institutions; he specializes in grant proposals, financial aid, funding, implementation, administration, and business affairs for multiple projects with such institutions as the Deutsche Filmakademie, DFA Produktion, and the Rainer Werner Fassbinder Foundation.
